Deplorable: A church full of Christians cheered as New Mexico county commissioner and founder of Cowboys for Trump Couy Griffin declared that “the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat.”

The founder of the group Cowboys for Trump and a New Mexico county commissioner is facing calls to resign after he said in a video, “the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat.”

In a despicable display of dangerous rhetoric, Otero County Commissioner and founder of Cowboys for Trump Couy Griffin, speaking at the New Hope Revival Church in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, declared:

I’ve come to a place where I’ve come to the conclusion that the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat.

Adding insult to injury, after declaring “the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat” those in attendance at the Christian church cheered with delight.
