Says someone who obviously knows jack all about linguistics. Language is beautiful. Each one has its quirks but they are all unique. Certain nuances and subtleties of one language can be easily lost when translated to another.

Contrary to what Mr. King thinks, English is actually considered a somewhat limited language compared to others.

Our separate languages are what make us who we are. Mr. King’s whole idea of English being “empowering and unifying” is stupid. You think the Native Americans were speaking the King’s English when they first encountered the British?

They also confuse the official language of government, which is and should remain English the good’ ol Estados Unidos, and the various languages we use to communicate with each other at home and in business.

The GOP has decided taht their message would be sullied by translating it into Spanish, which sends a clear message to a lot of the Hispanic electorate: the language you speak at home is not worthy of our attention
