Yeah I think we can make gains with Cruz as the nominee too. Cruz kind of has what Sanders has going for him on the Democratic side right now and that’s that he hasn’t been subject to much scrutiny. Cruz may in some ways be a worse GE candidate than Trump is.

His bat guano crazy old man. He’s WAY worse than Rev. Wright. If the Dems start running videos of the dad’s crazy rantings and point out Cruz’s associations with and endorsements from the worst level of theocratic Christian extremists, I’m certain that most of America will reject him in a snap.
