re: #311 MandyManners

As my No. 264 shows, the case against ACORN goes back to 1998. The corruption is not just at the bottom. Look at the way ACORN’s founder and executives behaved in 1999-2000 when his own brother embezzled about $1,000,000.00 from it. This was kept quiet until 2008, and the thief was kept on until it came to light in 2008. For NINE years, a thief was kept on board.

Oh, it goes back a whole lot farther than that; I’ve seen ACORN ethical lapses for at least the last 25 years, first hand.

But so far, there’s no connection between the events depicted in the videos and any higher-level wrongdoing. I’d be thrilled to hear about any - direction from a regional manager to encourage prostitution and tax evasion, and testimony from that manager that he was in turn directed by the board to promote such activity - but so far all I’ve gotten from the videos is the equivalent of kids spitting in the Special Sauce.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask for evidence, rather than speculation.
