When some atheists start ragging on religion, talking about how stupid it is to need/want to believe in myths/fairytale made up by humans who wanted the control it gave them, and asserting how much better off we’d be without all that, I always have to wonder:

Okay, let’s say I accept your premise and it’s all about humans’ gullibility & need to feel important. And let’s say we could somehow get rid of all religion. How long do you think it would be before another enterprising human came along and invented a new one that would grow just as big as the old ones?
