Exactly. They simply want vouchers so they don’t have to pay as much to send their kid to the private school they are already sending their kid to. They want to be subsidized. I checked on private schools in my city and none of them have a tuition that would be even close to being covered by a voucher. Therefore, any poor people would automatically be eliminated because they can’t come up with the rest of the money for tuition. It’s a scam.

Oh, if private schools were replaced with vouchers, there would quickly spring up across this nation a plethora of cheaply-run diploma mills, geared towards maximizing the number of kids with vouchers-in-hand that they could squeeze in. With “modest” fees elsewhere, of course.
