Interesting. Well that seven degree rule seems like a good rule for me. Makes me wonder how many generations my parents are apart heh since we’re all related someway.
I suppose we could have everyone do a genetics test. Only close cousins will share lots of DNA.
Consanguinity laws regarding marriage do exist. Geneticists insist that distant cousin marriages are not a problem.
Also it is claimed the high proportion of deaf among the Marthas Vineyard communities is due to close relative marriages long ago.
