Well, I think we are talking about slightly different senses of absolute, even if in the end they converge. I’m saying that they usually believe that morality is somehow ontologically grounded (in God’s nature, for example), whereas it’s always a convention, whether instituted by humans or by deities.
You’re talking about unbudging, absolute rules, which can follow from the above, but which can also be compatible with the “convention” view of morality.
