He fails at basic history.

There was every reason to think that Lincoln was destined for greatness - those Lincoln Douglas debates being but one. It showed character, conviction, and analysis of the key issues of the day.

Trump couldn’t get past the first 5 minutes without devolving into a completely unrelated rant about fashion of the day or that he wears the best hats.

Both Douglas and Lincoln spoke for an hour at a time with a 30 minute rebuttal.

Oh, and Lincoln was self-made - no handouts or inheritances from dad.

That’s the exact opposite of Trump.
