I’m not a lawyer, but I could imagine a scenario whether either the defence or prosecutor calls Alex Jones to the stand to prove the defendant is either not guilty or under the control of someone else to commit a crime.

It still does not free such people from the moral onus of encouraging such behavior by spreading unfounded claims simply to gain notoriety and media attention.
