Fucking cowards. Don’t have the balls to tell the people that it was all a mistake, think if they run another vote then people won’t blame them for being strung along by lies for 3 years.

The thing is, I noticed in the replies to that tweet that a Brexiteer argued along the lines of “Be careful of what you wish… We may win again!”. However, if the referendum was a three option question, with “Yes to Brexit deal”, “Yes to Brexit, but no to deal” and “No to Brexit”, then the latter would win as, barring some fluke, the leave vote would be split between the first two options.

I suspect this may be one reason for the government’s firm line against a second referendum, but I could imagine a politician using this tactic as a “get out of Brexit” manoeuvre.
