Fine, would you hire someone who would not present you a resumé based on their public image?

Trump refused to release his tax returns, so we had nothing to go on except what he had learned from the media and what he had claimed.

And yes, government should be run on sound & sustainable economic principles, but that is where the comparison to business ends. Like you said, business is about making money for the owners & investors, not about bring the greatest good to the most people.

A businessperson will see things like public education, health care, safety, infrastructure and environmental protection as cost factors to be minimized or eliminated and not as investments in a healthy and productive society & economy.

you elect a businessman as president, let him run a government like a business, you get exactly what we have

while he’s personally skimming off the cream and the perks, the predictable and mostly inevitable economic hurt just hasnt had a chance to set in yet
