eliminating the sub-minimum-wage exceptions for tipped workers and people with disabilities (wait, that’s a thing?!)
I don’t know about the disabilities thing, but I know a lot of states have a tipped minimum wage. I guess the thinking with tipped wage was that customers were paying the servers so the employer didn’t have to pay them as much?
The disability angle, may be something designed to promote higher of mentally disabled people and knowing that they have family and/or social service programs to supplement their income?
