What I mean is, if there were not a drop of oil in all of SA we would still want them as “allies” as one more player in the region that does not want/have/need the destruction of the Jewish state as their goal

They created the “Saudi Peace Initiative” (through the tool Tom Friedman) which will “recognize” the state of Israel only once they have agreed to their own destruction.
