I’ve been participating in IoT industry forums for a few years now, everyone making these devices see it as a non problem for their particular app because their data is [pick one or two: anonymous, inconsequential, harmless, etc. etc.] and they refuse to acknowledge the botnet issues. They don’t listen well when I try to explain it, so I’m hoping this gets some of their attention.
