I’ve tried pointing out to American conservatives when they attempt to revise what the CSA was all about or downplay slavery’s evil that what they’re doing is no different than the elements of Turkish society that deny the Armenian genocide or Japanese society that deny the war crimes of WWII, I just get a lot of excuses.
