SO is this even going to make economic sense? It’s 240 road miles from Dallas to Houston: even given decent mileage of today’s cars, that still going to be 18-20 gallons of gas to make a round-trip; so one would have to have a vehicle with 1) a huge gas tank; and 2) decent-enough gas-mileage to make a gasoline-profiteering trip worthwhile.
You pack a bunch of large cans of gas into a truck, drive them the 240 miles, and sell the gas at gouge profit. You can do the same thing with bags of ice and a refrigerated truck. I first witnessed this during Andrew (1992).
