I have precious little faith in any sort of grand breakthrough anymore. I’m voting and speaking out because it needs to be said, but I’ve just been resigned to fatalism that this is what we are now, this is what we will be for the near- and long-term future. That there really is a silent majority of hate deciding they don’t have to be silent anymore, and that we’re going to be forever buried in it.

Np they aren’t the majority, and if the majority get out to vote in November, a lot of those assholes in Congress will be going home.
