Respectfully, having played all sports as a kid, hockey is much more than fisticuffs skillwise, especially playoff hockey.

1) just try skating
2) now try it with all that equipment on
3) now try it with all that equipment on while trying to control the puck
4) now try it with all that equipment on while trying to control the puck while an opponent or three can bump into you as hard as they can
5)now try it with all that equipment on while trying to control the puck while an opponent or three can bump into you as hard as they can while you try to shoot it into a goal protected by a guy that with HOS equipment on covers most of the net

Exactly, that’s why it’s easier to just sock someone in the jaw, which is what most of the game is about.

This is not sporting, it’s a fight on ice.
