My job is computers, and I think the government should impose a .5 cent tax on every transaction to slow things down.

I’ve been trying to figure out how many stock transactions there are per day. Had the idea that a tax like you’re suggesting could be used to fund some sort of guaranteed universal income program. But without knowing how many transactions there are, it’s hard to figure out if it’s feasible.
