The precogs from minority report were supposed to be mutants from Mars. That version never got made, minority report became a standalone movie, but it started off as a Total Recall sequel.

aha, in the film version they were just products of genetic alteration on Earth. Shame, a Tom Cruise-Arnold Schwarzenegger double bill would have been awesome, but then again, would not have left much budget for special effects…
