My mother dragged me (as a teenager, along with my sister and all my cousins) to the opening day of the original Star Wars movie, along with about five other showing of the same movie. (For some reason, it was available opening day in Alma, Michigan.)

I loved the original, was increasingly less enthusiastic about the rest, now only follow the franchise because kids are into it.
