Not at all. The combination of his name being mud, the stench of failure all around him, and even more likely, his rapidly declining mental faculties, will not make this possible. He might have become a kind of “elder statesman” after an interval of 5 - 10 years, but he doesn’t have that time ahead of him. I stand by my projection: him dying alone in a home.

I see him more as a Jefferson Davis figure: some rich benefactors will take him in and remain loyal to him for the “service” he did for America.

Remember, Trump has turned all the rules and expectations of politics, government and decent social interaction on their heads. I do not expect that go away completely when he leaves office.
