That was set in a world without the Internet.
I recall watching the 90’s remake of Godzilla and one of the big suspense scenes involved a cameraman risking his life to go out and recover his lost film of the monster.
In a modern world, he would have been filmed by no less than 10,000 cameras.
In today’s world, Godzilla would have been memed to death…not to mention tik-toks.
