One thing that does occur to me though, is that the wingnuts making Trayvon Martin into a thug will likely turn on Zimmerman if he is actually acquitted. If he does not get sent to prison, Zimmerman will likely to try to publicly make clear he isn’t a racist. And when tries to do that, said wingnuts will likely “remember” that Zimmerman’s mother is from Peru and then turn on him as a “treacherous brown person”.

Kinda. When peeps get behind a cause, in this case a partisian based cause, they are not going to change. Zim is their law & order guy. Even though he broke every safe gun use rule.
