What should not be legal is not teaching the standard curriculum (incl. evolution), whether you do it at home or not.

That idea would fly like a lead balloon in the USA. Even Common Core, which is not a national curriculum per se, gets the wingers up in arms. They want “local control” at the same time as they want to eliminate — or at least gut — the public schools in favor of charter schools, church schools and homeschools. I wish they’d just pull their kids out of the public schools and let everyone else get down to business, but they want to force their agenda on everyone else.
