Carson is, of course, right that Sharia is incompatible with the Constitution. He just doesn’t know why he’s right, because he’s playing a “my god is bigger than yours!” game, rather than acknowledging how NO ancient theocratic laws fit in the framework of our government.

I would not vote for a fundamentalist Muslim for office. But neither would I vote for his Christian, Jewish, Hindu, whatever equivalent.

It should be noted that while many laws of Sharia and Halakhah are incompatible with democracy, huge portion of the laws are ritual/ceremonial (e.g. kashrut/halal) and are thus perfectly acceptable.
