That’s the opposite of funding infrastructure improvements for those keeping track.

He lied. Again. It’s just his thing. He lies.

And Democrats better pay heed to this too. This should disabuse them of the notion that they can or should work with Trump on this, which would ordinarily be something that most folks agree is something that should be funded.

Trump’s version of lying is really the worst kind of lying. It’s not muddling the facts, it’s not spin, it’s not even flatly misstating the facts. It’s saying whatever is necessary in that particular moment, usually in order to get applause. There’s no consideration of the truth or what the short/medium/long term effects of the statement are. It’s simply, “this is what people want to hear, so that’s what I’m going to say.”
