re: #26 BeachDem
āNomiki (fucking) Konst, told Newsweek that she believed the senator from Vermont was responding to āa leadership deficit in the Democratic Partyā by giving the address as Westminster College, rather than attempting to bolster his prospects for another run.ā
I donāt care what Bernie does or does not do, this black female will not vote for him in the Dem primary here in GA if he runs in 2020. Why? Because I hold him largely responsible for the rift that was created in the Democratic Party last year. Others may see him as a popular leader, or the #1 leader among Dems in America, but no one ever asked for my opinion. I know quite a few black females here in my Middle GA city, and none of them voted for him in our primary last year. The one thing about black persons in the south is that we talk to each other everywhere, even if we donāt know each other on a personal level. No one I talked to voted for Bernie in the primary here. Iām not saying some didnāt vote for him, but no one Iāve met in my interactions. Plus, Bernie talks about āoppressed, financially struggling working class whitesā but seems to have little concern for others in the Democratic coalition, and Iām not only referring to blacks. I see him as ego-driven and as someone whose head has become swollen because he managed to spout a few memes last year that appealed to a vocal few in our party. Dude is a cult leader and doesnāt seem to realize it. He should not be able to use the Democratic Party to advance his goals. I am totally against this. Strongly against this. We were gracious enough to permit him to run on our party ticket last year, and he sowed discord every step of the way, and after the primaries, he declared he was no long a member of the Democratic Party. This was a clear example to me of user behavior, and I refuse to be used by him or his supporters.
