Political decisions/calculus isn’t the same as a criminal prosecution standard.
Trump jettisoned Porter because he became a political liability. Trump is keeping Kelly and Hicks on because firing them would be a political liability, just because they both know where all the bodies are buried.
This is what right wingers don’t get. They don’t get that their actions have consequences and they include both political and criminal.
For the record, impeachment is a political process, not a criminal legal one.
