re: #30 Love-Child of Cassandra and Sisyphus
Humans find emotional support, and health, though all sorts of social congregations. Because we are social animals. Thus we find a positive, real, benefit to belonging to a group that thinks like us.
and that is the ultimate failing of ultra-individualist libertarianism
we are all born helpless and most of us die helpless
we need the group to develop normally and function as humans
I want a social and economic system that recognizes that reality
If we were all hatched out as adults and could simply be fitted with a basic education chip and sent out to realize our individual potential, then I could at least begin to see the sense of a Randian economic system.
