Pence has no traction, no charisma to build any, and no foundation to stand on with the GOP base or anti-Trump factions. In all places there will be other candidates deemed more attractive and this is not a party that will come to loggerheads and eventually select Pence as the “compromise” they can all agree on.

So it’s a continued grift, a delusion, or Pence perhaps thinks the horse can be taught to sing by 2024.

Barring an untimely death, Trump will be the 2024 GQP nominee. He’ll run because he needs the money and his ego won’t let him step aside, and the GQP base worships him.
