Late night lizards, my home buying search continues. The house I would love to get, SWMBO does not like. The house she likes, I am ehh. The house that is number two for both of us is at the upper end, if not above, what I qualify for, and my mortgage guy is not answering email or phone calls. She wants newer houses, and the area I am looking at needs to be less then 5 miles from my mother’s house, since I am mowing, and shoveling snow, does not have a lot of new houses, since it was mostly developed in the 40s and 50s. Bedrooms were smaller, closets were smaller, and there were fewer open floorplans that you see in modern houses.

None of the neighborhoods are bad, two of the three are ethnically diverse that I can see right away, and all three probably are. My favorite house has over a quarter acre of lawn, and number two is just under, which is strange, since i have hated mowing since I had to start mowing my parents lawn.

What is troubling to me, the homes I like the most, have the best yards, and I am not really a fan of “The Big Blue Room”. I should really be looking for a house with a gas stove, fully remodeled interiors, etc, and ethernet wiring installed, along with wireless access.
