What part of the CR are you in? Spent a big chunk of the 90s in Praha myself.

I’m in Ostrava. A former steel town, and it’s now trying to transform itself, with some success. Vitkovice is still around, but now they’re focusing more on heavy equipment manufacturing then steel production.

It’s not a bad town. Less expensive, and far less touristy than Praha.
