The problem I feel like is being awake doesn’t amount to much when there’s no power left to be leveraged. All the noise and bluster we can make doesn’t amount to much when they can ignore it anyways, sweep away our rights and dignities with a sweep of their hand, and there’s jack all left we can do because the only other option would probably have us shot dead in the streets as an ‘example’.

There’s just so much institutionally enabling this shitshow right now and I feel like we’re helpless to do anything now, no matter how ‘awake’ we are.

I have not spouted this line for weeks, so here goes: I am afraid that things will have to get a lot worse: catastrophically so, before they can start to get even a little bit better.

I just hope that happens before the damage becomes irreparable.

As it is people are going to die: indirectly through suspension of ACA provisions and directly through vigilante justice and police brutality that goes ignored & unpunished by the authorities.

It all sucks, and it is going to continue to suck for some time now…
