As near as I can tell from reading people who seem to know this stuff, there can still be interventions by the courts on specific actions taken during the “Trump ban”.

If I an understanding correctly, today’s ruling is just that an Executive can do bans for national security reasons. Yet it does not rule on the details of any such executive actions.

So, if someone is wronged by such a ban, they can still bring a case against the Government in court.

Trump’s ban does nothing for national security, since the nations targeted are ones that have mostly not fostered terrorism. Those that have are not on the list. It’s all for show, so he can tell his idiot base that he’s securing the borders, etc., etc.

Regardless of the legal meaning of the ruling, it’s going to embolden the idiot base to continue attacks on Muslims in the USA just trying to go about their everyday business.

I follow a Korean-American lawyer gal on Twitter (@thejenlife) and even she’s worried about how Trump’s apparent hatred of immigrants will affect her and her family. I gather she’s a Korean expat with a green card, but I may be misconstruing her tweets.
