re: #296 Yashmak

I’m a mechanical engineer, meaning I’ve completed through Differential Equations. Even so, I can vouch for this statement. Many of my peers had to re-take the upper level math courses more than once to get a passing grade.

What kind of inginer are you that you didn’t have to take Engineering Math 401 and 402? Differential Equations were Sophmore level at the engineering school I went to. After Diff-E-Qs, I decided I would not become an engineer due to having to take a course more difficult than Math 208. It was horrid. I was lost on the first page of the little tiny book when they said that it was easy to derive the 7 variable, 16 stage equation into one that was upper level Calculus. I had to work my way backwards to see where they came up with it. Basic calculators only. No preprogrammed formula ones.
