Taxes are lower is not the same thing as tax revenues are lower. Taxes could be higher and revenues lower.

If a store raises it’s prices and then has less revenue (because less people are willing to pay the higher price) you would not say that prices are lower.

Nobody would say that.

Since tax is the only source of tax income, lowering taxes will reduce tax revenues, unless reducing individual tax increases the tax revenue through increased tax sources numbers.

Conversely, increasing taxes will raise tax revenues, unless the number of tax sources is reduced.

You have to show that increases taxes will necessarily reduce the number of tax sources.
