For about a year or so I saw our elites * slowly and very gradually move from the previous baseline of “Trump’s America is still our friend” ** to the revelation of “Trump’s America is no longer our friend,” much to their own surprise.

This week, I’m starting to the (still very rare) emergence of “Trump America is our enemy”.

I don’t know how this will end up, but not in a good place, I think.

* Western Europe, mostly France./Germany. Can[‘t speak for the rest.
** And the even put up with Dubya.

Angela Merkel made it clear as early as last year that they have to seek a new world order without America. If they are called upon to take sides, they will note that Russia and China are ascendant powers while America is no longer, and they also know that Trump and his policies will not be in place forever, especially if they leave America isolated and at a disadvantage.

And the the UK is ready to turn on us, then we are Royally fucked.
