I’m not an extremist environmentalist, though.

It’s simply true that pets consume resources. It’s also true that pets don’t ‘do’ anything except make our lives happier.

Am I suggesting we all go euthanize our pets tomorrow? Obviously not. But it’s a good thing to consider, when decided to buy an extra dog or an extra cat, that you’re going to be devoted resources to that pet for a long time.

That’s all. It’s not some crazy wild-ass environmental position. Just one about thinking of the consequences of your actions.
