And the 9th patient might have had a fighting chance had Dallas Presbyterian actually placed him in isolation and treated him on the first ER visit, instead of waiting until he came back to the hospital a second time.

It’s a combination of prompt medical care and modern facilities/treatment options that give Ebola patients a fighting chance at surviving this disease.

When you’ve got few treatment options, and a broken medical system, the mortality rates are 70-90%. But those chance vastly improve in a modern facility.
