There might be something bigger going on, but it’s probably just trying to stoke his popularity by drumming up fear over this issue. The conclusion from the election was basically that this type of fear mongering worked to get his base to the polls, they just needed to start the fear mongering earlier.

Maybe I just cannot believe that it is so blatant and transparent.
