OK - as best I understand it, big-ticket arms sales are - barring “emergencies” - subject to Congressional review. Supposedly, Linik was looking into the circumstances of Pompeo’s declaration of said “emergency” to go through with the Saudi sale last year (the one done over Jamal Khashoggi’s dead body).

Personally, I have no doubts whatsoever that this is just more Trumpworld corruption, that The Orange Anus was going to sell his pals the arms in any eventuality, that his hack Pompeo’s “emergency” rule was utter bullshit to avoid Congressional oversight (out of an overriding contempt for Congress, and oversight in general), and that the State IG was fired for (possibly) uncovering embarrassing info on his boss (iow, doing his job).

AFACBD, YMMV.

So if they sold the arms to Saudi Arabia, who did the give the proceeds to?
