I read the headlines here before posting, and I do need to say that if Zimmerman is actually running, then he is truly being a fool. Here’s three words that can nullify “Stand Your Ground”: “Flight Equals Guilt”. On this point, Florida law is like the law in every other state: If you are under investigation and you run, the fact that you ran can be used against you at trial. In a self defense claim scenario this can be especially devastating as prosecutors can use your running as evidence that you knew you actions were not lawful.
