I was really surprised at the number of people at FR who didn’t want the doctor and nurse with ebola allowed into the US. They didn’t feel they would be “abandoned” by the US because they knew the risk they were running and chose to work in Africa anyway.
Not a majority, but enough to kind of shock me.

Because they are clueless idiots who are reacting in a knee-jerk fashion to an “African” disease.
