An unfortunate transcription error. ;)
The backstory is that Arabic does not have a letter ‘p’. Softer ‘p’ sounds are translated to ‘f’, such as Palestine to Falastin.
Harder ‘p’ sounds are migrated to ‘b’. Want some Bebsi cola?
Family friends in Israel who fought in the War of Independence used to talk about choosing passwords that required a ‘p’ sound. Not sure how that worked out with Sephardi Jews.
