They insist on using the term “baby” as a form of emotional blackmail, the same reason they insist on referring to abortion as “murder.” It’s why they like to haul around pictures of aborted “babies” when they hold their protests, because the images are unsettling and are meant to give you a singular impression of what an abortion entails. If they showed you what most abortions actually result in, which is a blob of undifferentiated tissue and little else, people wouldn’t be viscerally impacted and respond negatively towards the people involved. The overall goal is to sway an otherwise reasonable person into supporting their cause by leaving them with the implication that if they are not anti-abortion, then they’re supporting “MURDERING BABIES!!!”
