Way to go FEMA…

FEMA Closes Hurricane Assistance Shelters Due To Current Storm

Meanwhile while FEMA takes some time off during the snow storm 662,000 remain without power on the East Coast.

That’s pretty disingenuous. They’re not ‘taking time off’…they’re waiting for the storm to pass so they can be ready to reopen when it’s safe for people to move about. By the way, this is standard procedure in emergency relief situations. FEMA aren’t first responders, and shouldn’t be encouraging people to move around at the height of a storm. Stay out of the way until the storm passes, and then you can help people more effectively.

Utility companies don’t try to restore power during a storm, either…something about hot wires and wind and wet and human flesh mixing together.
