The trouble is that the Republicans destroyed their credibility with the public with their domestic spending. No Child Left Behind and the prescription drug benefit are the easiest examples. It’ll take a while for them to recover from that. On the other hand, Obama and the Democrats are rehabilitating the GOP in record time!
