re: #342 John Carter

OK, but you have to consider the context. She is/was an entertainer and in that role she found people like Oz and Phil who became successful in their own right. Put that down as a good eye for talent.

I mean you guys are funny, if she picked Vivek Murthy (who is probably brilliant) to be on her show would that have been the right forum for him?

You guys have to understand, as much as I hate Megan Kelly she is right about Trump’s communication skills to the masses. You know who else does that well? Oprah, Dr. Phil, Oz etc. I hate that we have to consider this, people should just practice basic critical thinking skills, read etc but we share a country with these folks and someone has to reach them.

You read the articles and we have all made the Blazing Saddle’s jokes about them being morons but you have to explain things to them if you want to win. That is the puzzle.

Look, Biden would have handled Trump in the election last year because he is good at making his point - he is a great folksy communicator. So was Bill Clinton who remained wildly popular because of his communication style (explainer in chief).

I love the Warrens of the world and the Duckworths but ZZZzzzzzz when they try to explain anything.

The president, as we all know, signs bills into law, appoints people to cabinet positions and judges etc and EXPLAINS THINGS to the american public. Find that person who is good at it and get behind them. All they are is a spokesperson.

So, she picks people because they were good for her show? I think we’ve watched the results of that. Like I said, her choices are as open to criticism as her successes are a basis for why she should be a nominee.
